Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I heard that once you see a chiropractor you need to continue seeing them for the rest of you life!

A. Your chiropractor will make recommendations on the duration and frequency of your treatments, based on clinical experience and best practices of care, however once you have this information it is up to you to decide what's best.  We are a partner in your healthcare.

Q. Do chiropractors only treat back and neck pain?

A. Chiropractors are trained to treat a multitude of musculoskeletal conditions such as Rotator Cuff tendonitis, Hip Bursitis, Tennis and Golfer's elbow, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Headache, Ankle sprains/strains etc.  This list is not exhaustive so it is best to call and enquire.

Q. Do chiropractic treatments hurt?

A. Regarding spinal manipulation (adjustment), when performed by an experienced chiropractor, it is painless.  You will likely hear an audible 'popping or cracking" sound, much like you would when you "crack" your knuckles.  But just like when your knuckles crack, it is painless.  It may be necessary to work out any muscle knots or trigger points you have prior to making the adjustment. This would likely be the most painful part!  But again, your feedback will be taken seriously and modifications made to your tolerance level!
